Halloween Warrior

Top: Thrifted $5
High waisted shorts: Forever 21 $17
Knee high sock: Urban Outfitters $14 here
Boots: Guess :$39
Sword: Halloween City $18
Fan: Halloween City $0.99
Wig: Beauty supply $24

Hope everyone had fun getting dress up for Halloween, I know I did! I'm currently in school so I'm balling on a budget. And since I'm on a budget there was no way I was going to spend $70-$150-$200 on a costume, so I went threw my closet and threw some things together. The end result was this Japanese warrior character lady. The only things I purchased was the swords, the fan, and the wig, all together I spent $43 which is not bad at all.
The reactions from my friends were priceless when they saw my costume, which was exactly what I was going for!
Coming up with a halloween costume can be fun, easy, and cheap. You just have to be open to your options and willing to look. Thrift shops or second hand shops can be a great alternative when your looking for an inexpensive or fun way to put a costume together.
Now I can't wait for next Halloween, time to start thinking of what I'll be next!
As always have a great week!!

I had a great 24th Birthday last friday (10/17/14)!!! Celebrated by having a simple dinner with my closest girl friends at Ra Sushi. And of course, like always I was late to my own bday dinner. Lol its all good, they expected that of me. I'm always late! My lateness was due to my unexpected wardrobe malfunction! I had a whole outfit planed out in my head, but for some reason when I put it together in real life it was an epic FAIL!!! Its a good thing that I had recently gone thrifting and had this skirt in my closet!
Thats it for now! Hope all my Libras had a great month and great birth days!
p.s Happy Birthday to this crazy Chick

Baggy, Baggy

Top: Forever 21 $7.90
Bottoms: Thrifted $3.40
Necklace: Forever 21 $8.00
Sandels: Buffalo Exchange

Its so hot on campus, keeping cool is a bit of a struggle! So, I like to keep it super simple and easy.
I threw on this cute little simple crop top I got from F21 and these boho hippie style pants I thrifted from the Salvation Army Family store. The pants are super comfortable and the material is really light and flowly. Keeping me nice and cool during my long walks in the scorching heat on my way to class!

Summers almost over!

Overalls: Buffalo Exchange $15
Sandals: Buffalo Exchange $12
Bathing Suit: Same Old Chic

Summers over and school is back in full swing! Great! Not really! I took a semester off so I'm a little rusty when it comes to being a student. After working two jobs all summer I needed a little vacation so I packed up my stuff and went to the beach with my lovey friend Anasheh.
It was a super hot, humid, and sticky day so I made sure to wear something lose and comfy. I found these bad ass overalls at Buffalo Exchange for a not so bad price. The sandals were a steal on the other hand, for only $12. I've been looking for some similar sandals but platforms and black. I can't seem to find any anywhere at a reasonable price. So the search continues...
Hope everyone has a good school year, and passes all their classes!!!

Clinched in my Corset Dress

 Dress: Thrifted
Shoes: Thrifted Buffalo Exchange
Belt: Forever 21 $9.99
Cross-body bag: Thrifted Buffalo Exchange $10

Today was a super humid day. So humid that as soon as I walked outside the lens on my camera fogged up to the point that nothing was visible on the monitor. lol
Decided to keep it simple today with this little black dress. Stumbled upon it while I was thrifting one day last year. I've only worn it once since then, so it's about time that I pulled it out again. It was perfect for this hot humid day. The fabric looks heavy but it's light and breezy allowing me to breath and not suffocate in this Houston heat! Paired the dress with this cute little meow belt from forever 21 and my favorite platform heels and was out!!!
Have a good rest of week, spread those good vibes!

Boyish Shinanigans

 Top: Victoria Secret $10
Joggers: Buffalo Exchange $11.75
Shoes: Just-in $19.95
Purse: Buffalo Exchange

Hey guys so I'm a little excited about this post, why you ask?
Well because I finally found the perfect pair of joggers, for me anyways! They may also be perfect for you guys to, go to Buffalo Exchange and find out, if you have one in your area that is. I know Buffalo Exchange is a second hand retail shop but they also carry clothing that has never been worn before. Like these joggers, they're brand new and there were multiples of the in the store, they're made by the brand L'AMOUR. I picked up a size small originally but they were a tad bit small so I went for a medium which fit perfect!!! The detailing on them is almost like and alligator kind of feel but they're not leather, they're polyester and spandex, which makes them quite breathable and perfect for this hot Houston weather!
You may see them again styled in a more casual fashion. As always have a great rest of your week!

Happy Sunday peeps, as always sorry for the late update, my laptop has officially failed me. I recently got this cute top from gojane.com last week with a matching pair of shorts just in time for this scorching hot Houston weather. I paired the top with this skirt for church to jazz it up a bit! Also paired it with my floral sandal wedges from forever 21.
