Umm... Its Cold!!!

Wearing...
Cardigan: Wet Seal | Turtle neck: thrifted | BDG jeans: Urban Outfitters | Boots: Image
Pink stone necklace: Forever 21 | Headband: Beauty Supply
On my lips, Beautique jumbo lip crayon, color Blackberry: Sally's

So I'm a southern girl! And us southern girls are not use to cold weather. But boy let me tell you, with the way it got cold here in houston (out of no where) I had to get use to it, and fast!!! Because apparently its gonna be like this for a while. 39ยบ and windy, not cool!
I really need to go shopping for a good coat because my hoodies, sweaters, and cardigans are not cutting it. On the plus side, the sun finally decided to show face the other day so I was able to wear my cardigan and not freeze to death!
Hope Hump Day and enjoy the rest of the week!

I had a great 24th Birthday last friday (10/17/14)!!! Celebrated by having a simple dinner with my closest girl friends at Ra Sushi. And of course, like always I was late to my own bday dinner. Lol its all good, they expected that of me. I'm always late! My lateness was due to my unexpected wardrobe malfunction! I had a whole outfit planed out in my head, but for some reason when I put it together in real life it was an epic FAIL!!! Its a good thing that I had recently gone thrifting and had this skirt in my closet!
Thats it for now! Hope all my Libras had a great month and great birth days!
p.s Happy Birthday to this crazy Chick

African Thangs

Beautiful Newly Weds
The Groom and grooms men

The bride entering with her brides maids
My sisters in the choir
Dress: Topshop $50
Cardigan: Forever 21 $18
Heels: Aldo Shoes $40
Necklace: Forever 21 $7.80

So last weekend I got to attend my very first wedding! Can you believe all 23 years I've been breathing I've never been to a wedding! I know crazy right!
The Bride and Groom were beautiful in there tradition african attire. The wedding on the other hand was not so traditional. Instead of doing the same old thing where you stand in front of the priest and recite your vows, they walked, better yet danced down the the aisle with their brides maids and and grooms men. Then they played a little game where the bride had to search for her husband in the hall. Which you'd think would be a easy task, but there had to be over 200 people in that hall. That didn't stop her though she and her brides maids formed a line and made their way around every single table till she found her husband. It was a such a fun wedding and of course the food was great, you can't beat a free african meal! lol.
For my outfit I wanted to wear something flowy and effortless, that didn't happen though! I searched high and low for a long dress with some kind of african print, or even something plain that I could have put some African print on. Came up empty handed, till I remembered that I  had this dress from Topshop I'd never worn. It was actually perfect for the occasion. Paired it with some nude heels from Aldo and my cardigan from Forever 21.
The wedding was an awesome experience, hope everyones has a great week and great rest of the weekend!

Baggy, Baggy

Top: Forever 21 $7.90
Bottoms: Thrifted $3.40
Necklace: Forever 21 $8.00
Sandels: Buffalo Exchange

Its so hot on campus, keeping cool is a bit of a struggle! So, I like to keep it super simple and easy.
I threw on this cute little simple crop top I got from F21 and these boho hippie style pants I thrifted from the Salvation Army Family store. The pants are super comfortable and the material is really light and flowly. Keeping me nice and cool during my long walks in the scorching heat on my way to class!

Happy Sunday peeps, as always sorry for the late update, my laptop has officially failed me. Bottoms: Urban Outfitters (sale) $20
Wedges: Forever 21 (old)
Body chain: Ebay $4 (similar here)
Sunnie: UO $16

Its been so hot here in the H that wearing clothes has become a hassle. As soon as you step out the door you're covered in sweat, its madness I tell you MADNESS!!! But besides that its perfect time to go shopping! Went into my favorite store (UO) and picked up a couple off things as always. Found these awesome high wasited shorts tucked away on a rack hidden in the back by the dressing room. It was meant to be for me to find them. They fit my hippie personalty so well, its not even funny.

Sorry for the gigantic thighs you guys, I recently started training for NCP Bikini Competitions so you're going to be seeing a lot of changes in my body soon. I'm currently trying to lean out and tone up, but for some reason my thighs decided to do the opposite. I will for sure start doing work out routine post to give you guys some inspiration for your own get fit journey. Untill then hope you guys enjoy mine. As always hope you're having a great weekend and summer.
