On Mondays We Wear Black!

Wearing...
Sweater: Vintage (Moms) | Top: Nordstrom | Boots: Charlotte Russe | Necklace: Thrifted

So its monday all over again, blah!
The day started a little rough, I woke up and my allergies decided to take over my face leaving me looking like a swollen blow fish. lol! But I took some handy dandy Benadryl and received my lovely face back. But was left with koala like drossyness for the rest of the day.
It's all good thought because thanks giving is in 3 days. I can't wait to go home and sleep in my own bed, wake up and cook thanks giving dinner, and eat lots of yummy food!!! I'll be making my famous stuffing and potato salad, what will you be making/having?

Today was super sunny as you can tell. The chill from last week still remains in the air though. My moms sweater came in handy keeping warm and toasty on my way to class. The top looks like something that should be worn during the summer, but because its thermal like material I was able to pull it off!
Have a great Thanks Giving!

Halloween Warrior

Top: Thrifted $5
High waisted shorts: Forever 21 $17
Knee high sock: Urban Outfitters $14 here
Boots: Guess :$39
Sword: Halloween City $18
Fan: Halloween City $0.99
Wig: Beauty supply $24

Hope everyone had fun getting dress up for Halloween, I know I did! I'm currently in school so I'm balling on a budget. And since I'm on a budget there was no way I was going to spend $70-$150-$200 on a costume, so I went threw my closet and threw some things together. The end result was this Japanese warrior character lady. The only things I purchased was the swords, the fan, and the wig, all together I spent $43 which is not bad at all.
The reactions from my friends were priceless when they saw my costume, which was exactly what I was going for!
Coming up with a halloween costume can be fun, easy, and cheap. You just have to be open to your options and willing to look. Thrift shops or second hand shops can be a great alternative when your looking for an inexpensive or fun way to put a costume together.
Now I can't wait for next Halloween, time to start thinking of what I'll be next!
As always have a great week!!

Bottoms: Thrifted $3.40
Necklace: Forever 21 $8.00
Sandels: Buffalo Exchange

Its so hot on campus, keeping cool is a bit of a struggle! So, I like to keep it super simple and easy.
I threw on this cute little simple crop top I got from F21 and these boho hippie style pants I thrifted from the Salvation Army Family store. The pants are super comfortable and the material is really light and flowly. Keeping me nice and cool during my long walks in the scorching heat on my way to class!

Clinched in my Corset Dress

 Dress: Thrifted
Shoes: Thrifted Buffalo Exchange
Belt: Forever 21 $9.99
Cross-body bag: Thrifted Buffalo Exchange $10

Today was a super humid day. So humid that as soon as I walked outside the lens on my camera fogged up to the point that nothing was visible on the monitor. lol
Decided to keep it simple today with this little black dress. Stumbled upon it while I was thrifting one day last year. I've only worn it once since then, so it's about time that I pulled it out again. It was perfect for this hot humid day. The fabric looks heavy but it's light and breezy allowing me to breath and not suffocate in this Houston heat! Paired the dress with this cute little meow belt from forever 21 and my favorite platform heels and was out!!!
Have a good rest of week, spread those good vibes!

No, OK that's fine, I didn't miss y'all either. j/k

Did some much needed shopping last week and found this Biggie tank at urban. Love it! wish it came in white though cause its super freaking hot here in Houston and black is not the way to go if you're trying NOT to have a heat stroke! But being a lover off all things black I couldn't help myself. This awesome skirt is from one of my local thrift shops, I been meaning to style it but haven't had time.
No more neglecting you guys, I'm back for good now!

Don't Step On My Blue Suede Shoes!!!

Top Almost Famous: Macy's $10
Bottoms: Urban Outfitters
Shoes: Shasa $10
Necklace: Thriftted $6
Purse: Burlington Coat Factory $12

So I finally found a Peplum top worth buying and in my price range. I was just walking around Macy's the other day and stumbled across this beauty, it was the very last one and in my size! There was no way I was going to leave it behind! I love that it has a U-back and that it's sheer at the bottom, so cute!!!
I paired it with my fav high-waisted skinny's from urban and some cheap blue suede heels I found at Shasa just to keep the blue going. And to add a little more color I added my bright green purse that everyone loves from Burlington Coat Factory. It's finally summer here in H-town, idk if I''m ready for this hot ass weather though. Hope you guys are having a great summer so far.

Oh and I got my tattoo touched up by my new fav tattooist June check out his instagram @inkdupjune
